The Dr. David Pillow Senior Health Clinic in North Richland Hills
The Dr. David Pillow Senior Health Clinic is a service of North Hills Hospital that is committed to high-quality primary medical care, designed and dedicated to men and women 65 years of age and older.
The clinic is staffed with specially trained healthcare professionals who can assess, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of your treatment and progress. The Senior Health Clinic physicians accept Medicare and some Medicare Advantage plans.
In addition to physicians and nursing staff, our social worker is available to assist our patients with remaining as independent as possible in their living situations. The social worker is available to assist patients with needs that arise in activities of daily living. The social worker will work directly with patients, their families and physicians to assess individual needs and provide appropriate referrals. Assistance can be provided with such needs as medications, homemaker / personal care, transportation, support groups, financial aid, and much more.
Meet Our Senior Clinic Physicians
Dr. Justin Bartos
Dr. Bartos is board certified in family medicine and is a physician with Medical Clinic of North Texas, P.A., located right here in North Richland Hills. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch Medical School and completed his family medicine residency with the Tarrant County Hospital District at John Peter Smith Hospital. He is a past chief of staff at the hospital and was president of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians from 2001-2002.
Dr. Laxman Bhatia
Dr. Bhatia completed his medical residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and his fellowship in infectious disease at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease. Before coming to the Senior Health Clinic, Dr. Bhatia was in private practice in Pampa, Texas for 28 years, where he served as chief of staff at Pampa Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Lauri Ballard
Lauri Ballard, M.D., specializes in geriatric medicine and is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas and received her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern. After medical school, she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency, she spent more than 11 years working as an internal medicine physician at clinics throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In 2013, she returned to University of Texas Southwestern to complete a fellowship in geriatric medicine. Dr. Ballard is excited to be working as a geriatric medicine physician and she looks forward to working with and caring for patients in the North Richland Hills community and beyond.
Dr. Soroush Behnam
Dr. Behnam received his medical degree from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, completed his residency in Youngstown, Ohio and his fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine in Honolulu. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Behnam has experience with outpatient clinics and has previously worked as a hospitalist at North Hills Hospital. He currently serves as the medical director for several nursing homes in the Mid-Cities area.
Dr. Sesha Uppalapati
Sesha Uppalapati, MD, comes from a family of physicians and has always been fascinated with medicine. She has a tremendous passion for taking care of geriatric patients. Her goal as a physician is to develop relationships with each of her patients so that she can treat them as a whole for a variety of their healthcare needs. Dr. Uppalapati is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and after receiving her medical degree from Osmania Medical College, she served her residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Her fellowship in Hepatology was conducted at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. Dr. Uppalapati has two children and lives in Southlake.
Adrian Raabe, ANP-BC, GNP-BC
Adrian Raabe, ANP-BC, GNP-BC, says working in geriatric medicine is the perfect career for her because she loves older adults. She is passionate about helping these deserving patients manage and control their health in order to stay healthy and live well. After completing her education at Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, and the University of Texas at Arlington, Adrian worked as a nurse practitioner at clinics and made house calls throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She also spent five years in the United States Navy as a nurse. She is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
